Privacy at Beat Break Radio

Most privacy pages read like a contract written by someone who doesn’t want you to finish it. This one is different, because the site itself is small. Beat Break Radio is a one-person operation about plugin reviews, DAW workflows, and what actually survives a long mix. We don’t run accounts, we don’t build listener profiles, and we don’t want your data sitting on a drive somewhere. What follows is the honest version of what happens when you load a page here.

The small amount of data we see

Like any web server, ours writes a log line each time a page is requested. That entry typically holds your IP address, browser and operating system identifiers (the user agent string), the page you asked for, and a timestamp. Nothing else is captured on our side. There is no registration form, no comment login, and no newsletter signup collecting names and addresses on this site.

Why we keep those logs

Server logs exist for two practical reasons: keeping the site reachable and keeping it clean. If something is hammering the server, scraping pages, or probing for weaknesses, the logs are how we spot it and block it. That’s the whole purpose. We do not sell, rent, or trade log data with third parties, and we don’t assemble it into advertising profiles. If you email us, we hold that message only as long as needed to answer it.

Cookies, honestly

Beat Break Radio sets no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies. If any cookie appears, it comes from the hosting layer or a CDN and is strictly functional — the kind that helps a page load correctly. You can block all cookies in your browser and the articles, plugin write-ups, and workflow guides will still read exactly the same.

Third-party services

Pages are delivered through a content delivery network so they load quickly wherever you are, and that provider necessarily sees the request as it passes through. We do not currently run an analytics package on this site. Embedded media, where used, is served by the platform hosting it, and that platform’s own policy applies once it loads. We don’t pass identifiers to anyone for marketing.

What you can ask us to do

  • Ask whether we hold any data connected to you, and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to delete it, and we will remove what we can — noting that raw server logs rotate automatically on a short cycle.
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate you’ve sent us.
  • Object to a specific use, or ask a question about any of the above.

Children

This site is written for producers, engineers, and adult listeners working with audio tools. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them, consistent with COPPA. If you believe a child has sent us personal details, write in and we’ll delete the record.

Changes to this page

If the site’s practices change — say we add analytics later — this page gets rewritten and the date at the top moves forward. No silent edits.
